Mac vs PC: Macbook vs Chromebook
In a world full of technology a common question for most people is: Which computer should I buy? There are always people who will prefer either choice over the other. There are many differences between the two. Macs appear to be cooler/trendier but they are also a better fit for designers. Apple has carved out a reputation for being the “alternative” choice for those that see themselves as an individual, which is what art is all about. They are usually more expensive than PCs. Apple is the only company that sells macbook but companies like HP, Acer, Lenovo, Dell, and many others still make the vast majority of Windows PCs in the world. This offers variety and features that can fit anyone's budget or preference. Though the two are always competing they get interest from people on the internet around the same time every year for the past 5 years. During significant holidays people now turn to technology to provide gifts for holidays such as Christmas and Valentinues Day. Black Friday is another holiday that creates a spike of interest in Macs and PCs. Apple will usually has been known to join in with the Black Friday fun, but in recent years it has chosen to offer gift cards instead of discounts. In 2017, Apple's one-day event gave customers a free gift card worth up to $150 with certain purchases and something similar is expected to take place this year. An average Windows laptop costs around $500. For comparison, the lightweight MacBook Air laptop is currently Apple's cheapest, starting at $999. Obviously interest is spiked because of the deals on both Macbooks and PCs.
